Friction in all the right… PLACES: Zhi Zhu Ba Foot Massage

Monday, November 26th, 2007

feet.jpgTrek east to San Gabriel if you’re in the mood for some hardcore lovin’… for your feet! For just a measly 15 bucks, you can get pampered, kneaded, and oiled up for an entire hour. That’s right, 60 minutes of coma-inducing bliss for $15. That’s like cheaper than “chickle” in some third world countries. The procedure involves soaking your feet for 15 minutes, followed by a full blown foot massage (and sometimes an added back, arm, neck, and hand massage) for the remaining 45. Freakin’ magical.

But, remember to note that like most Asian places, its necessary to bring your papers… this biz is CASH only.

Friction in all the right… PLACES: Hotel Andalucia

Wednesday, November 21st, 2007

hotel.jpgBaller? Yes. Thematic? Even better. If you’re planning a weekend escape, be sure to pit stop at Hotel Andalucia, the downtown destination that oozes Spanish-style elegance. With sweeping views of the ocean and the Channel Islands, the hotel boasts the rights of the city’s tallest hotel! And check out the celeb factor! The hotel once housed Sandra Bullock’s wedding guests and Tiffani Thiessen’s honeymoon! Case and point, it’s hard to refuse raw Spanish flavor – the vaulted ceilings, exquisite chandeliers, handmade Spanish accent tiles, and hacienda-style décor make it hard to say “no”!

Trashy Reading

Saturday, November 10th, 2007

trashcanreader.jpgFor hands-free potty reading, check out the Snowtone bathroom trashcan that was ergonomically designed to hold your reading materials for you. At first thought, I was all about this, as it would free up my right hand to clinch and punch the wall as originally anticipated. But then I remembered I was a complete germophobe and cannot accept my magazines hovering over a wad of potentially hazardous trash without having mini OCD convulsions. Decide for yourself!
